What is pay per click?

Pay Per Click or PPC advertising is an online advertising model where you only pay each time someone clicks on your ad. The benefit of this is you can have thousands of views or impressions for your ad and it will not cost anything.

For example, you run an ad on Google search where your ad appears along with 4 other ads at the top of the search results. If that particular search term which you are bidding on gets 100 impressions but someone only clicks your ad once, then you only pay for that one click.

Another example is on Facebook where you can have 500 people see your ad on their feed, which will outline all the benefits of your products or service, and if only 3 people actually click on the ad, you only pay for those clicks.
