A third more enquiries. Same budget.
Napier · Hastings · Havelock North · Central Hawke's Bay
No Drips are Hawke's Bay plumbers who need the phone ringing for emergencies, hot water, drainage and septic work. We took over their Google Ads from another agency, rebuilt the account around the jobs that book, and added Meta ads for the planned work. Now a third more enquiries come in on about the same budget, from fewer clicks.

Win the high-intent jobs without burning budget.
Plumbing demand is some of the highest intent there is. When a pipe bursts or the hot water dies, people search and call within minutes. The trouble is that the same searches pull in plenty of non-buyers: people shopping for heat-pump cylinders, comparing manufacturer prices, looking up DIY fixes, or sitting well outside Hawke's Bay. No Drips needed to be first in front of the ready-to-book locals, and stop paying for everyone else.
A tighter account, aimed at people ready to book.
Structure the campaigns around the real jobs, cut the spend that never converts, pour budget into the searches that turn into enquiries, and stay in front of locals on Meta.
Structured the account around real jobs
We took over an account from another agency and rebuilt it. Separate, tightly managed Search campaigns for the work that matters: general plumbing and emergency call-outs, hot water, drainage and No Drips' own name, each aimed at how Hawke's Bay people actually search.
Cut the inherited waste
We read the search terms one by one and found the clicks that never turned into work: heat-pump shoppers, manufacturer brand searches, out-of-area clicks and DIY price research. We blocked them all, and switched off a campaign that had never produced a single enquiry.
Scaled the winners
We doubled the budget on their main plumbing campaign. Enquiries more than doubled with it, and the cost of each one held level. Money that used to go on dead ends now goes on the searches that book.
Added Meta for the planned jobs
Google catches people who need a plumber now. Facebook and Instagram ads keep No Drips familiar to Hawke's Bay homeowners for the jobs they plan ahead: septic and wastewater, renovations and hot water.
Tracking that proves it
Phone taps, email clicks and form submissions are all tracked into Google Ads, so every enquiry we report is a real call or message the client can check in their own account.

More enquiries from fewer clicks.
Tap to compare. Higher is better. Under the previous agency about one click in eleven turned into a call or enquiry. Now it's about one in six, so every dollar of ad spend works nearly twice as hard.
What stands out
- A third more enquiries on about the same budget, from fewer clicks. Better traffic, not more of it.
- Their main plumbing campaign: budget doubled, enquiries more than doubled, cost per enquiry held steady.
- Our best month brought in more than three times the enquiries of the month before, on the same budget.
- Cost per enquiry sits about a fifth under the target we agreed with them.
- People searching for No Drips by name now cost less than half as much to turn into an enquiry.
One dollar in nine was going on a campaign that never booked a job.
When we took the account over from the previous agency, about one dollar in every nine was going on a campaign that had never produced a single enquiry. We switched it off. Then we read the search terms one by one to see exactly what people typed before they clicked, and turned each non-buyer theme into a negative keyword so the budget goes back into work that books.

When and how Hawke's Bay books a plumber.
Every enquiry is tracked, so we can see the patterns and spend the budget where they point.
Nearly every enquiry is someone on a mobile, so the ads and the website are built around one tap to call.
Plumbing enquiries come in between 8am and 5pm, and over a third land before 10am, so bidding leans into the hours when people actually ring.
Facebook and Instagram put No Drips in front of close to one in ten adults across the region, so the name is familiar before the pipe bursts.
Known around Hawke's Bay before the pipe bursts.
Search ads only reach people already looking. Meta ads reach everyone else, at about a fifth of the price of a search click. Within weeks, No Drips' Facebook following grew by three quarters, and their name had been in front of close to one in ten adults across the region. When those homeowners need a plumber, No Drips is a name they already know.
